Ricardo Garza, MD, DMD Dr. Ricardo “Ricky” Garza was born and raised in Laredo, TX. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2013 where he obtained his bachelor of science degree in chemistry. He then obtained his doctor of dental medicine (DMD) degree from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston where he also conducted research at Boston Children’s Hospital.He then moved back to Texas began his residency at UT Health San Antonio in 2017. He received his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in 2020 and the completed an internship in general surgery. While in residency, he had the opportunity to participate in a mission trip by travelling to Neiva, Colombia to help provide cleft and orthognathic surgery for patients in need. After graduating from residency in 2023, Dr. Garza decided to move back to Austin, TX where he hopes to provide full scope oral & maxillofacial surgery to the greater Austin community. He is fluent in both English and Spanish. In his spare time, Dr. Garza enjoys running, hiking, discovering new coffee shops and breweries and watching sports. |
